Three-Bedroom Warehouse Conversion

The brief was a single low-slung sectional that could host a film night for eight, fit through a 78cm doorway, and tolerate two daughters under five. Stone-grey heavyweight wool, eight-way hand-tied springs, removable feather-and-foam seat cushions, slipcover stitched with hidden zips for dry-cleaning.

Library & Drawing Room Suite

A four-piece commission for a Victorian first-floor drawing room — Chesterfield sofa in burgundy aniline leather, two matching wing armchairs, and a low Library table in solid walnut. The leather had to age into the room, not stand out from it. Hand-buttoned over two weeks, deep-buttoned to a 7cm pleat.

Highbury garden flat with Scandinavian minimalist daybed

One-Bedroom Garden Flat

A daybed for a writer's home office that doubles as a guest room every other weekend. Pale linen, sheepskin throw, oak frame in a north-facing room — the brief was "honest, quiet, durable." We rebuilt the seat platform three times to get the firmness exactly right for both sitting and sleeping.

Townhouse Reception Room

A three-seat sofa in deep emerald velvet, sized to anchor a tall-ceilinged Victorian reception room. Brass legs in a hand-cast splay, channel-tufted backrest, removable seat cushions. The owner's brief: "Something that makes the room feel like the kind of place I want to come home to." The piece arrived on a wet October afternoon and stayed put.
